My 11 year old daughter developed Molluscum contagiosum in January but we didn't know what it was. I had never heard of the condition and it developed at the same time as a throat infection. Our GP diagnosed it as Molluscum so I did some research into the condition. As an 11 year old, she was quite distressed about the condition and refused to wear vest tops and didn't want to go swimming. I was worried about it spreading but luckily it remained just on her back – mainly on the right hand side.
After some research, I discovered MolluDab. I thought the product was very good. Initially I was surprised at the small amount of liquid that was in the bottle but I soon realised that you only need a very small amount. It began to work quickly in clearing up existing spots. You could almost see it working as they became inflamed and puss-filled.
I applied it for two weeks as recommended and most of the spots were inflamed by then. My daughter had a particularly horrible, large cluster of about five all on top of each other in the middle of her back which was almost hanging off and even that began to clear. I then stopped using it but within 10 days, some new spots had appeared so I started treatment again on them. I have used it for a further week and there are no new ones now and the existing ones have all scabbed over or are fading. My daughter is so happy that they are finally going - especially as she has her school residential and leavers' party very soon!
I would definitely recommend MolluDab and I feel that more awareness needs to be raised about Molluscum contagiosum and that there is a treatment available for sufferers.
